I have a little girl called Becky who is 3 years old, who appears to share a few 'similarities' with you. A cheeky nature; a birthday in July (Becky was born on 4th July so a day later than you); 2 brothers (but Becky has 2 sisters instead of your one); Becky had heart surgery when she was 13 weeks old too, and she too gave me and her Daddy a few sleepless nights; she is adored by everyone she meets - which is lots and lots of people are she talks to everyone she comes across; she is a little bit smaller than everyone her age - but she makes up for it with her loud laughing; and she has Down Syndrome.
After reading your lovely book I pray Becky will continue to follow your wonderful course of life. You're book is a tonic, and will make me try even harder for Becky to keep up with her speech and language classes so she can speak as wonderfully as you on your radio interviews.
God Bless you Heidi, you're a light of inspiration when it all seems a little dark in the world of Down Syndrome.
